Inscrutable Press

inscrutablepress@gmail.com

The aim of Inscrutable Press is to publish what we call unexpected Australian literature - the kind of things that we are interested in as readers and writers, but that the major publishers struggle to make money out of. We want to publish quality, innovative work that finds a deserving niche amongst Australian and international readers.

We are always happy to consider the unusual - our first title, Below Tree Level, was published both as a book and as a series of wilderness interprestation signs displayed around a mountain bushwalk.

Our second book, I Sleep In Haysheds and Corners, currently taking submissions, will be a book and exhibition highlighting a collaboration between young writers and crafters.
